11+/School Entry Exams

Redwood Scholars provide specialised tuition for Year 5 students who want to sit 11+ Entry Exams for grammar schools

or Academic Scholarship Exams for independent schools.

11+ entry exams consist of two parts: Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning Tests.  It is a very competitive environment - the statistics show that only 45% of students pass the exams and a place is offered, on average, to 1 out of 3 candidates who have passed (number may vary from school to school and year on year).

Academic Scholarship Exams include elements of Verbal and Non-Verbal reasoning as well as English and Maths papers and are pretty demanding in their scope.  Students usually take them for school entry in year 7 or 9.

Redwood Scholars Tuition have six years experience in delivering 11+ and Academic Scholarship Exams tutoring and we are very proud of our students and their success record.

Our tutors work with the most current and varied resources to teach students the necessary skills and help them develop logical thinking in order to obtain the best marks.

If you wish your child to take 11+ Entry or Academic Scholarship Exams, we suggest that, for the best outcome, you enrol at least 10 months prior to the exam date.  Our Centre offers a number of sessions within a week that your child can attend.
